Welcome to The Outpost – Peer Support at The Warfighters Mission

In the military, an outpost is a forward position—an area set apart from the main force, providing security, reconnaissance, and a crucial foothold in uncertain terrain. It’s a place where soldiers regroup, regain strength, and prepare for the next phase of their mission.

At The Warfighters Mission, our Outpost Peer Support Program serves a similar purpose. We are a nonprofit organization committed to supporting those who have served us—active duty military, veterans, and their families. Our mission is built on camaraderie, compassion, and a shared dedication to healing.

The Warfighters Mission’s Peer Support Program is led by Brandon Cabalar, a combat veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Under his leadership, we are driven by one simple mission: We help those who have helped us.

Brandon is a firm believer in the power of peer support, grounded in the values of service, solidarity, and faith. Just as an outpost provides a lifeline for soldiers in the field, our peer support groups offer a safe, judgment-free space where veterans can regroup, connect, and find strength. We serve with empathy, expecting nothing in return—only that no warrior walks this journey alone. Our goal is to help our heroes find peace, connection, and renewed purpose as they navigate their path to wellness.

Our Values

At The Warfighters Mission, our values are deeply rooted in both military service and faith. We find strength in the story of Job, a man who endured immense suffering yet remained steadfast in his pursuit of healing and restoration. His journey is a testament to perseverance through hardship and the power of faith to overcome even the most difficult trials. As Job 17:9 reminds us, “The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.”

Our peer support programs are designed to guide veterans and their families through the challenges of service-related trauma, the transition to civilian life, and the lasting struggles that can arise from military service. Just as Job’s story is one of resilience and hope, we are committed to walking alongside those we serve—offering unwavering support, encouragement, and a path toward healing and peace.

Peer Support

Our peer support groups for veterans are led by those who have walked the same path. Every facilitator has firsthand military experience, ensuring a safe and welcoming space where you can share your story, find peace in your experiences, and connect with others who truly understand.

We’ve been there. We know the challenges of service, the struggles of transition, and the weight of the journey. But we also know that healing begins with connection. Opening up may be the first step in reclaiming yourself, and we are honored to walk alongside you.

Whether we lead you in a prayer for mental health, stand with you in silent support, or simply create a space where your voice is heard, we are here. You don’t have to face this alone.

Join Us

At The Warfighters Mission, we stand with all who have served or are currently serving our country—active-duty military, veterans navigating civilian life, and families impacted by secondary PTSD. We believe in the power of unity, knowing that through connection and support, we can overcome even the toughest battles. You are not alone on this journey.

As we honor and uplift the heroes of our nation—past and present, men and women alike—we welcome you into a community of healing and strength. This mission is built on faith, compassion, and purpose. With God’s guidance and the support of those who understand, we move forward together.
