A Lifeline for the Lonely Warrior
In the trials of existence—the battles fought not only on the front lines but also deep in the very heart and soul—our service members and their families can sometimes feel relentlessly assailed by loneliness. Living in isolation, as a military member or family can, is an obstacle that can seem insurmountable. Our men and women who have served or are currently serving in the military, along with the friends and families of these brave heroes, need to be reminded often and loudly that they are not alone. Indeed, every sunrise should serve as the reminder that with our military members, first responders, and their families, we are sturdy enough to face and conquer any and all appearances of depth and isolation in silence.
As you wind your way through life's many twists and turns, always remember this: you're never truly alone. Whether you're grappling with the uncertainties of deployment, wrestling with the invisible scars of war, or simply feeling the weight of it all, there's support to be found in a community that knows your struggles, understands your pain, and stands ready to help. And if you should ever doubt the love and strength that surround you, remember this promise from Scripture: "I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
Compassionate, gracious words can shine as a beacon of hope in the darkness. They can remind us that even in moments of near despair, we are held in the care of a loving God. Facing the new day, one can draw on the reassurance that with faith, anything is possible. The Warfighters Mission shares such encouraging messages. Hearing such words can bring reminders of spirits that cannot be conquered, of stubborn wills, and of the impossible being made possible, if you make it through to the other side of whatever it is you are facing.
We are a coalition against loneliness, providing a comforting presence for all who are finding it hard to cope. We know that sometimes just getting through a single day can be a battle one doesn't feel equipped to fight. We also know that love is a powerful weapon in that fight, and it's a weapon we carry with us, unceasingly, for you.
